A new place for welcoming refugee women and girls

A new place for welcoming refugee women and girls Mädchenbüro in Frankfurt-Bockenheim has entered into a partnership with KfW Stiftung for the coming years to make refugees feel more welcome and help them integrate into society. The aim is to open a café for refugees called Milena on the same premises as a safe haven for refugee women and girls. Many of them come from patriarchal communities or have lived through traumatic experiences. Here, the women, including mothers of young children and girls, have the opportunity to come together away from refugee reception centres, to meet local residents and to become familiar with German values and the German way of life.
