Villa 102 at Bockenheimer Landstraße 102, which previously accommodated international writers as Frankfurt's Literaturhaus, will become the central venue for KfW Stiftung events once the refurbishment work carried out in line with listed building regulations has been completed. In spring 2013, before the builders moved in and with the marks of its eventful history still visible, the mansion became an experimental stage for KfW Stiftung's inaugural events. These revealed the principal idea guiding the entire arts & culture programme: promoting intercultural dialogue. The events included a reading, an exhibition and a symposium which focused on categories such as origin, heritage and home, examining their relevance to artistic practice and to cultural exchange in today's globalised world.

The events are documented in a comprehensive illustrated publication (German/English) that is available in book shops:
Home Stories. Verortung künstlerischer Praxis in der globalen Gegenwart / Home Stories: Locating artistic practice in today's global reality, ed. by KfW Stiftung, initiator and editorial manager: Nicola Müllerschön, Köln: Snoeck Verlag, 2013.
